Saudi education technology and research enablement company Arep Saudi has closed a pre-seed funding round led by Golden Assets Investment.
The company is building solutions for training and skills gaps in educational and research laboratories. Its offering combines an interactive digital learning platform with specialized laboratory experiment content, knowledge repositories and practical workshops held in educational laboratories.
Arep is also developing a digital marketplace for scientific equipment and supplies. The platform is intended to help educational and research institutions manage sourcing and logistics for laboratory requirements, according to the announcement.
The company said it developed its model with support from MVPLAB and BOOST under Garage, as well as the National Information Technology Development Program.
Arep plans to use the funding to further develop its technology products and expand operations across Saudi Arabia. It also plans to explore regional expansion at a later stage, while supporting laboratory workforce development and the country’s research and development ecosystem.
