Qena’s National Council for Women has trained 100 women in entrepreneurship and small-business management as part of Egypt’s Hayah Karima initiative and the National Family Development Project.
The four training sessions targeted 25 women each in the villages of Al-Marashda in El Waqf, Al-Raeeseya in Nag Hammadi, Al-Kharanka in Qus, and Abnoud in Qena, according to the announcement.
The sessions combined awareness activities with practical training delivered by trainers and local coordinators. The program is designed to help women in rural communities build the skills needed to start and manage small businesses, supporting their economic participation and access to sustainable income opportunities.
Qena Governor Mustafa El-Bablawi called for broader efforts to train women and girls across the governorate’s villages and districts in entrepreneurship and small-business management. The initiative forms part of local plans to strengthen women’s economic and social empowerment.
