The MENA Fintech Association (MFTA) and venture-building firm STORM Partners have formed a strategic alliance to support cross-border financial innovation across the Middle East and Africa, with a focus on Web3 infrastructure, digital assets and regulatory collaboration.
Announced on September 21, 2026, the partnership will connect MFTA’s institutional network with STORM Partners’ advisory and venture-building expertise. The organizations aim to strengthen links between regional financial ecosystems and global digital asset markets.
The collaboration will cover digital assets, embedded finance, blockchain innovation and payments. Planned initiatives include executive roundtables, industry working groups, research publications, ecosystem intelligence, innovation showcases and investment connectivity. The partners also plan to support educational programs and policy discussions involving regulators and technology leaders, according to the announcement.
The alliance comes as financial markets across the region develop frameworks for areas including stablecoins, institutional tokenization and smart contracts. The announcement points to regulatory progress in Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia as a foundation for broader cross-border activity.
MFTA is a not-for-profit fintech ecosystem focused on innovation, collaboration and policy dialogue. STORM Partners advises technology companies and digital asset ecosystems on strategy, venture growth and international expansion.
