France’s consul general in Casablanca met with Chaibia Belbzioui Alaoui, president of Morocco’s Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AFEM), to discuss cooperation aimed at strengthening women’s entrepreneurship across the country.
The meeting followed Belbzioui Alaoui’s election as AFEM’s national president in June and focused on the association’s priorities for its new phase, according to the announcement.
Discussions covered improving women’s access to entrepreneurship, particularly in industry, as well as developing support mechanisms and incubators. The two sides also examined training for women managers and ways to increase the international visibility of Moroccan women-led businesses.
The meeting also explored potential cooperation between AFEM and France’s diplomatic and consular network in Morocco. According to the announcement, future partnerships could support joint initiatives for women entrepreneurs and expand access to international collaboration opportunities.
