Arabian Business has opened nominations for the inaugural Arabian Business Industry Awards, a new annual programme recognising companies operating across the Middle East.
The awards feature 28 categories across three sections. Sector Excellence includes Energy Firm of the Year, alongside awards for banking, technology and other industries. Business Excellence categories include Workplace of the Year, Overseas Expansion of the Year, Sustainability Initiative of the Year and IPO of the Year. The Grand Prix section will recognise Startup, SME and Large Enterprise of the Year.
Companies can enter based on achievements over the past 12 months, including new products, international expansion, regional investment or a stronger market position. According to the organisers, judges will assess demonstrated results rather than claims.
Applicants must submit a written case and one supporting document, such as financial results, performance data or customer figures. A judging panel drawn from business, economics, academia and media will assess commercial performance, industry contribution and regional impact. Its members will be announced later.
Nominations close on 28 September. Ten companies in each category will be shortlisted on 6 October, with winners and highly commended companies announced at a ceremony in the UAE in November.
