Dubai DMCC Launches Foundations Framework With Assets Starting at $100

Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has formally launched its Foundations Regulations, introducing a legal structure for wealth preservation, succession planning and long-term asset ownership with initial assets starting at $100.

The foundation is a separate legal entity from its founder, councillors, guardian and beneficiaries. Founders can define how beneficiaries are supported, how assets are managed and distributed, and how the structure is governed. Certain powers, including investment decisions, appointments and beneficiary-related matters, can also be retained by founders or designated individuals.

The framework is aimed at high-net-worth individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs and international private wealth clients managing assets from Dubai. DMCC said the regulations were developed through market consultation, international benchmarking and a review of established foundation regimes.

The new structure adds to DMCC’s private wealth offering, which includes the DMCC Wealth Hub, DMCC FinX, and Special Purpose Vehicle and Holding Company licences introduced in 2025.

DMCC said supporting guidance on establishing and administering a foundation, along with a digital onboarding process, will be introduced in the coming weeks.
