Replit has acquired Atta, an AI-powered business analysis workspace, in a move to bring data analysis and visualization into the same platform users use to build applications.
Announced on September 25, the deal also brings Atta co-founders Omar Shaik and Amine Ben Khalifa to Replit. The first integration is available through Replit chat, where users can upload a dataset or connect a data source, ask questions in natural language and generate interactive charts.
According to the announcement, Replit Agent can handle the underlying analysis and select visualizations suited to a question, including waterfall charts for revenue changes and heatmaps for retention patterns. Replit says users can explore business performance without writing SQL.
Atta was built to help business teams investigate KPIs, model revenue scenarios and examine pricing or retention through an AI-powered interactive canvas. Its technology will now be connected to Replit’s broader platform for creating applications and internal tools.
The acquisition expands Replit’s focus from software development to the business data that informs what teams build next. The company’s longer-term vision is to connect business questions, analysis and execution in one workflow, although it said those broader capabilities are not all available today.
