Sandbox Dubai has opened applications for its AI Sandbox, a program designed to help startups, SMEs and technology companies test artificial intelligence solutions in real-world settings and address regulatory challenges.
The initiative allows participants to work with regulators and relevant government entities while accessing technical, policy and commercial guidance. It is aimed at companies with advanced AI solutions that face regulatory or policy barriers, including those planning to establish a presence in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE.
Priority areas include education, tourism, hospitality, transport, mobility, logistics, media and government services. Companies working in other sectors, as well as providers of enabling technologies such as foundation models and cloud infrastructure, may also apply if they face significant regulatory uncertainty.
According to Sandbox Dubai, selected participants can test their solutions, use trial evidence to improve performance and develop a clearer path toward compliant deployment. Support with exploring data access arrangements may also be available, subject to data-owner approval.
Applications are open until December 18, 2026. Applying does not guarantee participation.
