Flat6Labs has concluded Demo Day for Cohort 5 of the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Project (GGJAP) in Egypt, bringing together green businesses, investors and ecosystem stakeholders.
Over several months, participating small and medium-sized enterprises received training, mentorship, networking opportunities and pitch preparation. The Demo Day also included an investor mixer focused on potential collaborations across sectors including EdTech, AgriTech, waste management and sustainable fashion.
Five SMEs pitched their solutions: Tasle Cosmetics, Techy Global, ATYAN, Salahly and Rebekia. Their businesses span agriculture, BioTech, EdTech and waste management.
The event also featured a panel titled “From Green Growth to Scale: Unlocking Finance, Markets & Opportunity for Egyptian SMEs,” which examined the financing and market challenges sustainable businesses face as they grow. Panelists included representatives from Banque Misr, the Innovators Support Fund, C4IF and S-Cube.
GGJAP is a UNDP Egypt project supported by the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme of Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Flat6Labs and New Silk Roads are implementing partners.
