Orange Jordan has organised three regional networking meetups under the Private Sector Access to Support Startups (PASS) programme, connecting entrepreneurs with investors, private-sector companies and organisations that can support business growth.
The initiative aims to strengthen Jordan’s startup ecosystem and empower 130 entrepreneurs through cross-sector collaboration, market access and potential business partnerships. The sessions were held in Amman at Orange Digital Village and Innovation Hub, and in Aqaba and Irbid at The Platform technology centre. Startups from Karak also joined the Amman meeting.
Entrepreneurs and participating organisations presented their activities before holding direct discussions on investment, service provision, customer access and partnerships. Organisations in areas including financial technology and consulting also held one-on-one meetings with startups.
According to Orange Jordan, the sessions build on PASS training, individual guidance and mentorship by helping startups turn their skills into commercial opportunities and relationships with potential customers, investors and partners.
The programme is implemented with the GIZ-led Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment project and Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, on behalf of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Union.
