Twenty technology projects have advanced to the final stage of the Riyada Hackathon, organised by the Digital Technology College for Girls in Riyadh, according to the announcement.

The projects were selected after registration closed and the initial screening phase concluded on October 25. The hackathon attracted broad participation, the college said.

The finalists will take part in a virtual phase from October 30 to November 1, featuring training workshops and advisory sessions with technology and innovation experts and mentors. They will then move to an in-person phase at the college on November 2 and 3.

During the final stage, participants will complete their project models and submit the final versions for evaluation by a specialised judging committee, which will select the winners.

The hackathon is part of the college’s efforts to support digital innovation, develop national talent and help turn technology ideas into projects serving different sectors.
