The seventh edition of Connect Waha has launched at the Sadat Technology Park in Egypt, bringing together government officials, industry and investment leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, students and young innovators.

Organised by Silicon Waha for Technology Parks and hosted by Delta Technology University, the event focuses on connecting industry, investment and technology with emerging talent. Its agenda includes discussions on business growth and workforce needs, student project exhibitions, and the Impact for Tech competition.

The competition, organised with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Egypt Makes Electronics initiative, gives young innovators an opportunity to present technology solutions to industry and investment representatives. Winners will receive EGP 18,000 for first place, EGP 13,000 for second place and EGP 9,000 for third place, according to the announcement.

Sessions address the relationship between investment, technology and industry, as well as the gap between business requirements and available skills. Exhibitions featuring projects from Delta Technology University and schools in Menoufia are also designed to help companies identify promising ideas and potential talent.

El Barid Investment is the strategic partner, while Communication Aura is the content partner and Scope for Training and Human Resources Development is the community partner. The Industrial Modernisation Centre is supporting outreach to manufacturers and industrial companies.
