Entrepreneurship can help drive sustained economic growth across Africa by connecting founders with markets, investment and practical expertise, according to Ahmed Shehata, founder and chairman of Eterna Consultant.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival, Shehata said the event can help turn innovative ideas into investment opportunities and accelerate the growth of startups.

He added that entrepreneurship is creating the foundation for new companies within Africa’s economy, supporting economic and social development while improving access to project financing.

Shehata also highlighted the festival’s role in strengthening links between innovation and investment across African markets. He said this could help build a more integrated entrepreneurship ecosystem and support expansion in sectors including technology, financial services, energy, creative industries and infrastructure.
