The Dubai-based AI for Business Institute has unveiled the 26 finalists for its third annual AI World Series Awards, shortlisting regional heavyweights like ADNOC Distribution, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and Saudi food group Savola. The finalists will compete across 14 categories, with winners announced at a ceremony in Dubai Silicon Oasis on October 8th.

Regional Heavyweights Compete for AI Supremacy
The list of finalists highlights significant AI adoption across the region’s public and private sectors. ADNOC Distribution is a strong contender, appearing as a finalist in four categories: AI Solution of the Year, Best Use of AI for Business Transformation, Best Use of AI for Operational Excellence, and Best Conversational AI Implementation.
Other notable MENA-based finalists include Dubai’s RTA, Dubai Economy and Tourism, and the Saudi food and agriculture conglomerate Savola with its subsidiary Afia. The awards also attracted international participants, including Czech bank Česká Spořitelna, which is shortlisted in five categories, and German pharmaceutical firm QIAGEN.
The 14 award categories cover a wide spectrum of AI applications, from AI Solution of the Year and Best Conversational AI Implementation to Best Use of Data & AI in Real Estate.
Validating Value as AI Spending Soars
The awards arrive as enterprises ramp up their AI investments. With global AI spending projected by Gartner to hit $2.59 trillion in 2026, platforms that validate real-world returns on investment are becoming increasingly critical. The AI World Series aims to fill this gap by identifying which AI projects are generating tangible value as companies move beyond pilot programs to broader implementation.
Staging the ceremony at Dubai Silicon Oasis further cements the city’s role as a growing hub for AI development and commercialization. All entries are currently being evaluated by independent expert judges using a certified methodology. Last year, participants from the Middle East secured nine category wins.
The Institute has also introduced the AI for Business Institute Honours, a non-competitive program designed to recognize organizations for specific AI achievements.
