The Population Unit of Egypt’s Aswan Governorate has delivered an entrepreneurship training session as part of the Yalla Nشتغل initiative, targeting young people preparing to enter the workforce.
The session was held under the sponsorship of Aswan Governor Amr Lachin and focused on entrepreneurship, freelance work and launching small businesses. Participants included public service students and students from the Faculty of Social Work.
The training aimed to build participants’ knowledge and practical skills while introducing entrepreneurship and self-reliance as potential paths to economic empowerment. It also covered the role of Aswan’s Population Unit, including its responsibilities, operating framework and coordination with government bodies and civil society organisations.
The unit said its work includes supporting initiatives that address population-related issues, improve population characteristics and contribute to quality of life across the governorate.
Rania Maghrabi, director of the Population Unit, said the training follows the governor’s direction to invest in human capital in line with Aswan Vision 2040. She added that the programme seeks to help young people develop the skills needed to participate in community and development efforts, while strengthening awareness of the role of government institutions.
