baraka has launched UAE stock trading for eligible customers, adding companies listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) to its platform.
The DIFC-based, DFSA-regulated investment platform allows customers from more than 100 nationalities to access UAE-listed companies through the same account used for US stocks. Local investments are funded in AED and held in customers’ names, with Emirates NBD acting as custodian.
The new offering adds to baraka’s existing access to UAE and US securities, options, Sharia-compliant investments and precious metals. The platform now lists nearly 10,000 assets.
Companies attracting customer interest include Emaar Properties, ADNOC Gas and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, according to baraka. The platform is available to GCC residents and citizens aged 18 and above through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Feras Jalbout, baraka’s founder and CEO, said the launch would allow customers to combine local companies with global investment opportunities. Khalifa Rabba, chief operating officer of DFM, said the integration makes it easier to include local stocks in diversified portfolios.
