Careem has launched Careem Food Catering in the UAE, allowing customers to pre-book catering for events, gatherings and special occasions through its app.
The service is initially available in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with more than 20 providers listed, including Gazebo, Al Fanar and Pret A Manger. Careem said it plans to expand the service to other emirates.
Customers can schedule orders between 24 and 72 hours before an event, depending on the provider, and plan bookings up to 15 days in advance. Menus are available for groups of 10 to 60 guests, with minimum order values starting at AED 350.
Options include family-style meals, sharing platters, corporate catering, reception services, live cooking stations and mobile food carts. Some providers also offer hospitality staff for on-site service.
According to the company, the launch follows increased searches for catering, office meal orders and large-group events on its platform. Careem said the service is the first phase of a broader catering strategy that will include more partners, menu customization and expansion across the UAE.
