Egypt-based career development platform Career 180 is launching KEMET-X, a global entrepreneurship and innovation gathering designed to connect Egyptian and African startups with international investors, venture capital firms, corporates and technology companies.
The two-day event will take place on 14–15 December 2026 at the Great Pyramids of Giza. It is expected to bring together more than 200 partners, startups and VC firms from over 50 countries, alongside founders, investors, government representatives and technology leaders.
According to the announcement, the participating funds collectively represent approximately $5 billion across five continents. The figure refers to the capital represented by the funds attending, rather than money committed to startups in Egypt.
KEMET-X will focus on helping startups access capital, international markets, expertise and potential partnerships, with an emphasis on stronger links between Egypt, Africa and the wider global ecosystem.
The event will also feature the KEMET-X Tracks Challenge, covering business, creative industries, technology, intellectual property and innovation.
