Chefaa Partners with Egypt Healthcare Authority on Medication Safety

1 Min Read

Egyptian healthtech startup Chefaa has partnered with the Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) to support patient education and promote the safe and rational use of medicines.

The memorandum of understanding was signed during the fourth edition of the authority’s Antimicrobial Resistance and One Health Conference. Rasha Rady, Chefaa’s co-founder and operations director, signed on behalf of the company, according to the EHA announcement.

The collaboration will focus on improving medication awareness, encouraging appropriate medicine use and supporting better outcomes for patients. Chefaa said the partnership reflects the importance of providing patients with accurate information at the right time, alongside access to treatment.

The agreement comes as the EHA expands efforts to address antimicrobial resistance through monitoring, responsible use and clinical guidance. The authority said its antibiotic stewardship programme achieved a 32% reduction in consumption this year, compared with 22% last year.

Chefaa, founded in 2017 by Doaa Aref and Rasha Rady, operates a patient-centric pharmacy benefits platform that connects users with pharmacies across Egypt.
