Thirty-six startups showcased technologies for the water sector during Deal Day, held alongside the Innovation in Water Sustainability Conference (IDWS 2025) in Jeddah on December 9, 2025. The event brought together more than 50 investors and investment funds from 10 countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The participating startups included 12 winners of the Global Water Innovation Award. Their solutions focused on water production, treatment and reuse, while the combined market value of the companies exceeded SAR1B.
Deal Day featured two tracks. The Innovation track supported the development of ideas into practical applications through hackathon stages, while the Investment Adoption track connected market-ready innovations and patents with investors and potential commercial partners.
The event is part of the Saudi Innovation Center for Water Technologies, the innovation arm of the Saudi Water Authority. The center supports incubation, acceleration and technology transfer, with a focus on building startups in desalination, treatment and water reuse.
