DeepCtrls Raises Series B+ Round Led by CATL with Aramco Ventures Participation

Chinese Physical AI startup DeepCtrls has closed a Series B+ funding round worth hundreds of millions of yuan, led by battery maker CATL and joined by Aramco Ventures.

Taiping Innovation Investment, GF Xinde Investment Management and Fosun Capital also participated, while existing backers including Source Code Capital and Forebright Capital increased their investments, according to the announcement.

DeepCtrls develops AI systems that control physical infrastructure, including energy systems, industrial equipment, cooling networks and data centers. Its proprietary PhyAI engine combines physical models with AI to predict performance, optimize operations and make automated decisions.

The company said CATL had already been using its technology across more than 10 facilities after an initial pilot involving an air-conditioning station. The investment builds on that commercial relationship and reflects growing interest from industrial companies in backing technologies they deploy directly.

DeepCtrls is also expanding into data center infrastructure, where it is developing applications for liquid cooling, energy management and coordination between computing demand and power systems.

The company said it serves hundreds of institutional customers globally, including Tencent, ByteDance, NVIDIA, TSMC, LG and PTT, with deployments across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.

The new round follows a Series B financing completed in July, also worth hundreds of millions of yuan. That round was led by JinkoSolar and supported by SDIC Innovation and China Merchants Bank International.
