The UAE plans to launch FedAI, a federal technical ecosystem designed to help government entities build, adopt and operate agentic AI solutions.

The plans were reviewed by the UAE’s Ministerial Council for Artificial Intelligence and Development at a meeting in Abu Dhabi. The council also approved moving the Agentic AI for UAE Government Project into its implementation phase.

According to the announcement, FedAI will provide a secure and flexible framework for federal entities to develop and manage AI agents. The initiative is intended to support more consistent technical and governance standards as adoption expands across government.

The council also reviewed plans for a customer experience lab focused on applying agentic AI to government services, as well as internal competitions to encourage employees to develop AI solutions.

The project’s first phase assessed government services, operations and tasks to identify priorities. Projects submitted by ministries and federal entities will now move into the next phase, where they are expected to be launched using agentic AI.

The council said the technology will support improvements in government efficiency, service quality and execution speed, within secure digital infrastructure.
