Dubai’s Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a major global trade hub, has announced it is expanding beyond physical infrastructure and company formation with the launch of two new knowledge-based platforms. The initiative, comprising DMCC Campus and DMCC Intelligence, signals a strategic move to formalize its role as a key source of expertise for businesses, governments, and institutions navigating the complexities of modern global trade.
Quick Facts
- What: DMCC is launching two new knowledge platforms.
- The Platforms: DMCC Campus for education and DMCC Intelligence for advisory.
- The Goal: To share expertise in trade, tech, and economic development.
From Infrastructure to Intellect
For over two decades, DMCC has been a central pillar in Dubai’s economic strategy, primarily focused on providing the infrastructure for company setup and trade facilitation. This new move marks a significant evolution, addressing a growing demand for specialized knowledge in areas like trade strategy, technology adoption, and workforce development. The two platforms will consolidate DMCC’s extensive experience into a unified offering of executive education and high-level advisory services.
Inside the Two New Platforms
DMCC Campus is set to become the organization’s central learning and professional development arm. It will offer a mix of executive education, industry masterclasses, webinars, and specialized training programs. The curriculum will build upon existing DMCC initiatives and cover topics including commodity trading, trade finance, emerging technologies, and sustainability.
DMCC Intelligence will function as the advisory and consulting division. This platform will leverage DMCC’s proprietary research, market data, and AI-powered analysis to provide strategic guidance to governments, economic zones, and corporations aiming to enhance their competitiveness and attract investment.
Executive Vision: Shaping the Future of Trade
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, framed the launch as a natural progression for the organization.
“For more than two decades, DMCC has helped position Dubai as a leading global centre for business, commodities and innovation. Throughout that journey, we have accumulated a unique combination of expertise, market intelligence, industry networks and practical experience. The launch of DMCC Campus and DMCC Intelligence represents the next phase of our evolution. Together, these platforms will enable us to share that knowledge more broadly, helping businesses, governments and institutions build capability, unlock growth opportunities and navigate an increasingly complex global trade environment. In doing so, we are extending DMCC’s role from facilitating trade to helping shape its future.”
The new platforms will integrate and build upon established DMCC entities, including the DMCC Coffee Centre, DMCC Tea Centre, the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX), and the DMCC AI Centre. The rollout will be phased, beginning with educational content and strategic advisory services delivered in partnership with organizations across DMCC’s global network.
