Nehda Women’s Association in Dubai has launched “Souq Ahfad Al Freej,” a community initiative designed to introduce children and young people to entrepreneurship while strengthening family ties.

The initiative gives participants a dedicated space at Al Ittihad Mall in Dubai, where they design and manage projects under the supervision of their families and the association. They take part in the full project cycle, from planning and marketing to customer service, product presentation, negotiation and sales.

The program also includes a small business market, an innovation platform, competitions for the best innovative idea and community project, inspiration sessions led by young entrepreneurs, and team challenges focused on creative thinking. It will conclude with an awards ceremony recognising standout projects and supportive families.

According to the association, the initiative aims to help children turn creative ideas into practical projects, build confidence and develop leadership, innovation and self-reliance skills. It targets citizens living in Al Muhaisnah, Al Mizhar, Mirdif and Al Khawaneej.

Union Coop is the strategic sponsor, while Ashiq Al Oud is the silver sponsor. Dubai Culture, Dubai Summer Surprises and the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment are also participating as partners.
