Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and NVIDIA have discussed potential cooperation in artificial intelligence, computing, digital skills development and support for startups and innovation.
The meeting brought together Paolo Guglielmini, NVIDIA’s vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Marc Domenech, Mazen Khalil and representatives from Egypt’s communications and technology authorities.
Discussions covered research and development in AI and advanced technologies, specialised technical training, deep learning, training-of-trainers programmes and support for entrepreneurs and startups. The two sides also explored strengthening Egypt’s local computing and AI capabilities for developers, researchers and institutions.
According to the announcement, Egypt and NVIDIA are considering a memorandum of understanding to define potential areas of cooperation.
Guglielmini said NVIDIA could support Egypt’s AI ambitions through accelerated computing, software, AI tools and training programmes that help developers turn ideas into practical applications. The company also sees an opportunity to support solutions for local needs and global markets.
The meeting also reviewed Egypt’s 2025-2030 national AI strategy, skills development efforts and the role of Digital Egypt Innovation Hubs in supporting technology talent, entrepreneurs and startups.
