Egypt’s Chemicals and Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) has launched an EU Export Incubator to help local chemical companies meet European regulations and strengthen their export competitiveness.
The programme was announced during a workshop on green transition requirements in chemical exports, organised with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Lynx Business Advisors. Representatives from industry bodies, regulators, technical experts and exporting companies attended.
According to the CEC, the initiative will provide technical guidance and practical support to help Egyptian exporters respond to evolving European sustainability standards. The European Union currently accounts for about 42% of Egypt’s chemical industry exports, making regulatory compliance strategically important for companies targeting the market.
The programme will conclude with a trade mission to France from 1 to 4 February 2027, where participating companies will meet European importers, buyers and potential business partners.
The council also opened registration for Egyptian companies seeking to join the national pavilion at six international trade exhibitions. It plans to run additional workshops on integrating the UN Sustainable Development Goals into business operations and developing export growth strategies.
