Dubai-based Birchford Technologies has launched ProLink AI Translator, a platform designed to help financial institutions across the Middle East and North Africa convert unstructured postal addresses into ISO 20022-compliant payment data.
The company said the platform combines SWIFT’s natural language processing model for address processing with Birchford’s reference data engine. It can structure creditor and debtor addresses in pacs.008 and pacs.009 payment messages, helping reduce rejections, clean legacy payment data and limit manual processing.
ProLink AI Translator runs within a bank’s own environment without external connectivity, which Birchford said strengthens data security and privacy. The platform also integrates with e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, digital collection systems and corporate payment centres.
The launch comes ahead of 14 November 2026, when fully unstructured postal addresses will no longer be accepted in cross-border ISO 20022 payment messages under SWIFT community requirements.
Birchford said the platform supports Egypt’s national ISO 20022 adoption initiative and can help banks improve interoperability with regional and global payment networks. It is being launched in collaboration with Suez Canal Bank, Housing and Development Bank, and Al Khaliji France Dubai.
