- Goal: To support and connect entrepreneurs across Egypt and Africa.
Building on Inaugural Success
Speaking at the INVEST PRO conference in Cairo, Pakinam Kamal, Head of Member Relations at ICCID, confirmed the chamber’s commitment to enabling business communities and forging strategic partnerships. She highlighted that the upcoming forum builds on the success of the inaugural event in 2024, which brought together representatives from over 15 countries, more than 10 embassies, and 5 international organizations.
The forum is positioned as a critical platform to foster communication between African delegations, chambers of commerce, and business leaders, providing direct support for emerging companies in the region.
A Broader Strategy for Sector Growth
The Regional Forum is a key component of ICCID’s five-pillar strategy for international events. Kamal outlined that the chamber also organizes specialized industry forums to target specific growth sectors.
Upcoming initiatives include the first Sustainable Agriculture Forum in September 2026. This follows other successful events like the Sustainable Tourism Forum, which attracted over 500 participants from 18 countries in its last edition, and the annual Digital Economy Forum held in Jordan under royal patronage.
Connecting Leaders and Opening Markets
Beyond sector-specific events, the ICCID facilitates high-level policy discussions through its Business Leaders Summits. One such summit resulted in the launch of the “BIF 37+” initiative, a global program designed to support the private sector.
The chamber has also expanded its “ICCD Deal Reception” series to global capitals including Cairo, Bangkok, and Jakarta. These gatherings are designed to enhance cooperation between governments and the private sector, particularly in Halal-related industries, with plans for expansion into Malaysia, Thailand, Dubai, and Paris.
Kamal emphasized that all ICCID events are free for attendance, exhibition, and partnership building. The core value, she noted, lies in providing direct access to decision-makers, accelerating market entry, and fostering cross-sector collaboration to drive private sector growth globally.
