Egypt’s National Centre for Social and Criminal Research organised a session in Suez on modern technology and entrepreneurship, focusing on opportunities for young people.
Held in cooperation with the State Information Service, the session brought together social specialists from the Directorate of Education, rural community leaders and public service participants. It was coordinated and moderated by Magda Ashmawy, director of the Nile Media Centre in Suez.
Walid Rashad, a sociology professor at the centre and supervisor of its youth research programme, discussed how technology and entrepreneurship are evolving amid current changes. He also examined the role of artificial intelligence in supporting entrepreneurship and opening new paths for young people.
The session covered opportunities in technology and entrepreneurship, the role of coworking spaces in supporting new work models, and the skills needed by emerging entrepreneurs.
It also addressed the risks and challenges linked to technology entrepreneurship, along with ways to overcome them and help young people benefit from modern technology, strengthen their innovation capabilities and pursue independent work.
