Jordan’s “Internship in Startups” project has opened applications for startups to join its second phase, as the country seeks to connect young talent with practical work opportunities in the startup ecosystem.
The project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in partnership with Injaz. According to the announcement, it aims to support innovation, strengthen Jordan’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and help startups access qualified trainees amid challenges including limited funding and difficulty attracting skilled talent.
Eligible startups will be selected based on criteria designed to support the national entrepreneurship ecosystem and improve young Jordanians’ readiness for the job market. Startups interested in participating were advised to follow the ministry’s and Injaz’s social media channels for application requirements and joining details.
The first phase included 64 startups across several economic sectors. It ran for nine months, combining three months of intensive theoretical training with six months of practical training inside startups, alongside regular performance reviews and skills development.
The project also covers trainees’ monthly costs throughout the training period, according to the announcement.
