Harlem Group has launched the beta version of what it describes as Iraq’s first AI assistant for an automotive dealership, bringing vehicle sales and after-sales support to WhatsApp.
The assistant uses natural language processing to respond to customer questions in real time, around the clock, for supported services. Customers can ask about vehicle specifications, compare models, and find showroom and service centre locations and operating hours.
Integrated through APIs with Harlem Group’s dealership management systems, the assistant can also register maintenance appointments directly in workshop schedules. The company said this is designed to improve booking accuracy and prevent double bookings.
The rollout comes alongside a shift to centralised electronic service booking. Harlem Group has retired its previous WhatsApp numbers for maintenance appointments and is directing customers to a dedicated web portal or its unified customer service hotline, 6603. The company has also published instructional videos to help customers use the new booking process.
Harlem Group said the beta launch is the first phase of a wider plan to digitise the automotive customer journey in Iraq, with additional features and services planned for later stages.
