Dubai AI Campus is targeting more than 1,000 artificial intelligence firms and over 5,000 highly skilled jobs by 2030, after reaching its 2028 goal two years early.
The new targets were approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, during the third Dubai AI Festival.
Located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the campus opened in May 2024. More than 500 AI firms have joined since then, according to DIFC. These companies have raised over AED1 billion from private equity and venture capital funds and helped create more than 2,000 technology jobs.
The festival attracted more than 20,000 attendees from over 100 countries at Dubai World Trade Centre. Sheikh Hamdan said Dubai aims to support AI development through advanced infrastructure, flexible regulation and access to global talent.
DIFC is also planning a 100,000-square-foot campus building in its Zabeel District. The facility will include GPU-ready systems, secure AI development zones, AI Labs for testing tools, conference rooms and a public AI Experience Centre.
Its design will also feature digital twins, which are virtual models used to test real-world systems. DIFC Authority CEO Arif Amiri said AI is increasingly shaping business operations, capital deployment and financial services.
