Nvidia has expanded its venture capital network in Egypt with the addition of A15 and MM Empire, linking local investors with the company’s global startup ecosystem, according to the announcement.
The move comes as Nvidia grows its activity in the Egyptian market. Its Nvidia Inception program now includes seven Egyptian startups developing artificial intelligence solutions for financial services, telecommunications, robotics, pharmaceuticals and software development.
The startups named are Aidera, Intella, Marses Robotics, Protina, StackPack, Paymob and Thndr.
The company also said the number of trainees at its Deep Learning Institute in Egypt increased more than tenfold in one year, as it expanded support for developers and startups working on AI applications.
Nvidia’s activity in Egypt has also included collaborations with RiseUp, Plug and Play, Flat6Labs and Algebra Ventures. These initiatives have brought startups and investors together while connecting Egypt’s entrepreneurship ecosystem to Nvidia’s global network.
The expanded venture capital alliance reflects Nvidia’s focus on building an AI ecosystem in Egypt that includes startups, investors and entrepreneurship support organisations.
