OCTA Raises $3.5M Seed Round to Expand AI Accounting Platform

AI accounting company OCTA has raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Middle East Venture Partners, bringing its total funding to $5.6 million.

Wa’ed Ventures, Plug and Play and A-typical Ventures joined the round, alongside existing investors Sukna Ventures and Sadu Capital.

The company has also launched OCTA Flow, an AI agent platform designed to manage bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end closing. Accountants review and approve the output before it is delivered to clients.

According to OCTA, more than 520 firms signed up for access within six weeks of the launch, with onboarding now underway. The company initially focused on accounts receivable and accounts payable.

OCTA said its platform processed 172,000 transactions in August 2026, which it estimates freed up more than $75,000 in billable capacity.

The company began operating in Saudi Arabia and the UAE before expanding into the US. It plans to use the new funding to strengthen its AI and engineering capabilities, automate additional financial workflows and support further expansion.

In June 2025, OCTA secured a $20 million credit facility from Sukna Fund to support embedded working capital financing for SMEs in Saudi Arabia.
