Qlik Unveils Agentic AI Platform to Address GCC’s AI Value Gap

4 Min Read

Data analytics firm Qlik is rolling out a unified set of innovations designed to help GCC enterprises translate their significant AI investments into tangible business outcomes. The announcement comes as regional companies grapple with a widening gap between high AI adoption rates and the actual value generated, a challenge compounded by strict data residency rules and the need for reliable data foundations.

Quick Facts

  • New features focus on agentic analytics and AI.
  • Addresses 84% GCC AI adoption vs. 11% value gap.
  • Includes new AI Sovereignty Initiative for data control.

Bridging the GCC’s AI Value Gap

While recent research shows that 84% of organizations in the GCC are already using AI, a mere 11% are achieving measurable business value at scale. Qlik’s latest platform updates are aimed directly at this challenge. With the economic impact of GenAI in the GCC projected to hit $23.5 billion annually by 2030, the pressure is on for companies to move beyond experimentation and embed AI into core operational workflows.

Qlik’s new capabilities span analytics, data engineering, and data governance, providing a more structured path for businesses to deploy AI with greater speed, reliability, and control over their data.

From Insight to Action with Agentic AI

At the heart of the launch is Qlik’s expanded agentic analytics experience. The platform introduces new capabilities across its Qlik Answers, Discovery Agent, Predict Agent, and Automate Agent tools. This integrated suite is designed to help teams move from identifying a data signal to taking a concrete action within a single, governed flow. By combining structured analytics with unstructured content, the system helps users understand not just what is happening, but why it matters and how to respond.

“The bar for enterprise AI is getting much higher,” said Mike Capone, CEO of Qlik. “It is not enough to produce a fluent answer. AI has to understand the business in context, run on a trusted foundation, and connect insight to action in the systems teams already use. That is how organizations create value without adding more fragility, lock-in, or spend.”

Building Trust and Sovereignty in Data

To ensure the reliability of AI outputs, Qlik is introducing new features centered on data products, including a “Qlik Trust Score,” service level agreements, and anomaly detection. These tools provide clearer signals on whether data is ready for use, allowing teams to govern the data products that fuel their AI models.

Furthermore, the Qlik AI Sovereignty Initiative directly addresses regional data residency and governance requirements. Through expanded regional deployments and compliance efforts, Qlik aims to give organizations stronger control over data location and architectural choice, a critical factor for operating in the GCC’s evolving regulatory environment.
