Dubai-based delivery platform talabat has partnered with Singapore-headquartered robotics company QuikBot to test autonomous robots for high-rise deliveries in Dubai Silicon Oasis.
The pilot, launched under a memorandum of understanding signed on September 7, is underway at the A6 commercial building in Dubai Digital Park. Riders hand orders to a QuikBot robot at a designated point inside the building. The robot then uses the elevator and delivers the order to the customer’s door, where it can be collected with a one-time password.
The companies said they will assess whether the model saves riders time and how effectively talabat’s delivery network works with QuikBot’s systems. The findings will help determine whether to pursue deeper integration or a broader rollout.
QuikBot’s robots operate through QuikSync, which provides each device with a digital identity and manages its interactions with buildings and people. The company said its platform is already used in live operations in Singapore and the UAE.
The pilot is focused on the final stages of high-rise delivery, including building access, elevator travel and navigating to customers’ doors. QuikBot has previously worked with FedEx on last-mile deliveries in Singapore.
