The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) has supported more than 60 startups and small and medium-sized enterprises through its AED 5M Stability Fund for Entrepreneurs, according to the announcement.
The fund received more than 330 applications from startups and SMEs across the UAE. It targets companies active in Sharjah, as well as businesses in Sheraa’s portfolio, offering financial and operational support during different stages of growth.
Support includes non-refundable grants with no equity requirement, alongside mentoring, consultancy and a simplified funding assessment process. The initiative also connects companies with investors, strategic partners and potential customers, while helping them access new commercial opportunities and markets.
The fund was launched with support from government and private-sector partners. Its beneficiaries include startups working in areas such as food waste reduction, child nutrition, artificial intelligence, sustainable consumer products and healthcare solutions using local ingredients.
Sheraa said it has supported more than 600 startups since its establishment, helping their founders raise over AED 1.14B in investment. The center described the fund as part of a broader shift in ecosystem support, from helping companies launch to enabling them to remain resilient and scale over the long term.
