Syrian startup Miyahi says it completed more than 100 orders during its first week, after launching an app that delivers drinking water to homes and businesses within two hours of an order.
Developed and operated by IXCoders, Miyahi initially offered a selection of water brands and has since expanded its range after suppliers contacted the company to add products and reserve storage space in its warehouses, according to the announcement.
Three days after launch, the startup added gas-cylinder delivery. The service includes delivery, installation and collection of the empty cylinder, a combination the company said has received strong customer interest.
Miyahi also reported a high rate of repeat orders from the same customers, which it described as an early sign of customer trust. The service currently covers Damascus and its surrounding countryside, with plans to expand in the coming weeks.
