Riyadh-based Ash Games Studio has raised a $1.5 million seed round co-led by Merak Capital and Impact46 through the Merak Gaming Fund.
Founded by Anas Bakhsh, Yaser Alahmadi and Saud Bakolka, the studio is developing action-adventure games for PC and console. Its projects draw on Saudi stories, history and traditions, with the aim of reaching players globally.
The funding adds to growing investor interest in Saudi Arabia’s game development ecosystem. Merak Capital is an investment firm focused on technology companies and licensed by the Saudi Capital Market Authority, while Impact46 is a Riyadh-based multi-asset investment and capital markets advisory firm.
Ash Games Studio’s website lists “Nomad” as its flagship title, an action-adventure roguelite inspired by the mythology of Ancient Arabia and planned for release on PC, PlayStation and Xbox in 2027. The studio also released “Azooma Escape,” a stealth-comedy game set around a Saudi family gathering.
According to the studio, Ash Games is Riyadh-born and remote-first, with a team of 18 people.
