Techne has announced the 2026 edition of its entrepreneurship summit, with two events in Cairo and Alexandria designed for different stages of startup growth.
Techne Cairo will take place on September 26-27 at Granada Palace in Heliopolis, focusing on scale-ups, corporates, investors, policymakers and technology companies. Its agenda will cover funding and growth, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, corporate innovation, policies and markets, and the creative economy and heritage.
Techne Alexandria will run from October 3-5 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, targeting early-stage startups, entrepreneurs, students, investors, incubators and accelerators. The program will include training, mentoring, founder development and investor connections across 13 tracks, including edtech, fintech, healthtech, investment, and clean and climate innovation.
The company said the 2026 edition will feature more than 90 workshops, one-on-one mentoring, AI-supported matchmaking and startup-investor meetings. Its competitions will offer more than $1M in potential prizes and investment opportunities. The Alexandria summit will host the regional Startup World Cup qualifier on October 4, with the winner advancing to the global final in San Francisco for a chance to compete for a $1M investment from Pegasus Tech Ventures.
Both summits will form part of Middle East Innovation Week, which is expected to attract around 60,000 participants from more than 70 countries.
