Wadi Makkah Technology Holds Workshop on Building Business Models

Wadi Makkah Technology, the investment arm of Umm Al-Qura University, has held a workshop focused on building business models for entrepreneurs, idea owners and startup founders.

The session covered the fundamentals of business model design, including understanding customer needs, defining a venture’s value proposition, reaching target customers and managing customer relationships. Participants also examined revenue streams, key resources, operating activities, cost structures and partnerships.

The workshop was designed to give participants a practical understanding of how to connect these elements and assess their ideas more comprehensively. It also aimed to help them identify strengths and areas for improvement, strengthen venture readiness and improve the prospects of long-term growth and competitiveness.

According to the announcement, the workshop forms part of Wadi Makkah Technology’s broader efforts to support entrepreneurship and innovation, develop startup-building skills and create an environment that helps entrepreneurs and innovators turn ideas into more efficient and sustainable business models.
