Trade between the UAE and India exceeded $100 billion for the second consecutive year in the 2025-26 financial year, highlighting the deepening commercial ties between the two countries.
Bilateral trade reached $101.25 billion, up from $60 billion when the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) took effect in 2022. The agreement, the UAE’s first bilateral trade deal, has supported growth in goods and services trade and opened new opportunities for businesses in both markets.
Trade spans petroleum products, gems and jewelry, food, textiles, chemicals, electronics and engineering products. Investment has also expanded across energy, infrastructure, private equity, financial services and real estate.
The partnership is now extending into logistics, investment and supply-chain connectivity through initiatives such as Bharat Mart and a Virtual Trade Corridor. The two countries are also cooperating under the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.
According to the announcement, cross-border private-sector investment is expected to grow further, particularly in banking and financial services. The UAE and India also work together through BRICS, with the UAE having become a full member in January 2024.
