3 Min Read

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce has unveiled the “Export in One Step” initiative, a major new program designed to drastically simplify and accelerate export procedures for businesses. The announcement was made at the second Zero Bureaucracy Forum in Dubai, signaling a strong commitment to enhancing the ease of doing business in the emirate and across the UAE.

By The Numbers: Phase 1 Impact

  • Procedural Steps: Reduced from 38 to 19 (a 50% reduction)
  • Required Documents: Reduced from 27 to 8 (a 70% reduction)
  • Completion Time: Reduced from 5 business days to 2
  • Partner Entities: 10 federal and local government bodies

Cutting Through the Red Tape

The “Export in One Step” initiative, developed in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, and other government entities, aims to create a seamless export journey. Through a unified digital platform, businesses will be able to submit requests for 10 different services in a single application, dramatically cutting down on paperwork and processing times. The first phase is expected to reduce the number of required procedural steps by half.

Aligning with National Strategic Goals

This initiative is a direct contribution to the national “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program, which aims to create a world-leading government service model. It also aligns with key national strategies, including Ajman Vision 2030, “We the UAE 2031,” and the “Operation 300bn” industrial strategy, which seeks to boost the industrial sector’s contribution to the national GDP.

“At Ajman Chamber, we believe that bureaucracy zeroing is a necessity and a goal we strive to achieve,” stated H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber. “The ‘Export in One Step’ initiative will contribute directly to achieving the objectives of the ‘Operation 300bn’.”

A Boost for Private Sector Competitiveness

By simplifying export logistics, the initiative is designed to enhance the competitive capabilities of private sector companies in regional and global markets. This streamlining will also help local businesses better leverage the comprehensive economic partnership agreements (CEPAs) the UAE has signed with countries around the world.

About the Initiative

“Export in One Step” is a government service initiative led by the Ajman Chamber in partnership with key federal and local entities. It aims to consolidate and simplify the export process for businesses through a single, unified digital platform, significantly reducing time, effort, and required documentation.

Looking Ahead

The launch of this initiative is a tangible step in the UAE’s ongoing efforts to create one of the world’s most efficient and business-friendly environments. By targeting the critical function of exports, Ajman is directly supporting the nation’s economic diversification goals and strengthening its position as a leading global trade and logistics hub.
