TechTown has opened applications for the first cohort of its incubation and acceleration program in Damascus, Syria, marking an early step for the innovation center’s broader ecosystem plans.

The program currently includes two tracks. TechLift is designed for early-stage founders developing a concept, product and team, while TechRise supports growth-stage startups working on their business models, fundraising readiness and expansion.

According to the company, participants will have access to structure, mentorship and workspace, with the accelerator also offering hands-on support as startups scale.

TechTown describes itself as Syria’s first digital and smart innovation ecosystem. Its planned Damascus hub will bring together startup incubation, research and development labs, coworking areas, educational spaces and collaboration facilities across an eight-floor site.

The company said the hub aims to connect founders, universities, diaspora networks, partners and government institutions within one platform.
