A five-member team of third-year Industrial Design students at Benha University’s Faculty of Applied Arts has won first place in the NXTPAK Hackathon with its EVERPACK project.
Organised by DMZ Cairo in partnership with ELARABY GROUP and PhotonX, the competition recognised the team’s approach to reusing and recycling industrial product packaging materials instead of disposing of them in environmentally harmful ways.
According to the announcement, EVERPACK aims to reduce costs, improve user experience and ensure that its proposed solutions can be manufactured at scale. The project reflects the students’ focus on practical, sustainable design linked to industrial needs.
The winning team comprises Doha Zayed Mohamed, Kholoud Mohamed Alfy, Ghada Ahmed Saeed, Menna Allah Ahmed Amin and Omnia Ahmed Iraqi.
