Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) has launched its Doha site, bringing together nearly 50 deep-tech ventures and more than 70 mentors for four days of sessions at Qatar Science & Technology Park.
The initiative was established by Qatar’s QRDI Council and Qatar Investment Authority in partnership with ESMT Berlin and the DEEP – Institute for Deep Tech Innovation. CDL-Doha is the program’s first site in Asia.
Held from 25 to 28 October, the inaugural sessions focused on AgriFood, artificial intelligence and health. The program connects science and technology founders with experienced entrepreneurs, investors and researchers, using a practical approach built around setting objectives, testing assumptions and prioritizing growth decisions.
Additional activities at ThinkBay, industry visits and panel discussions introduced participants to Qatar’s research capabilities, industry priorities and funding opportunities. According to the announcement, the initiative aims to connect local talent with global expertise, attract promising ventures and support collaboration between startups and industry.
