Dubai Police secured the journeys of 95.2 million passengers and more than 86.75 million pieces of baggage at Dubai’s airports in 2025, as it expanded the use of artificial intelligence and smart technologies across airport security.
The systems reviewed by Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri include AI-enabled passenger screening, unattended baggage detection and tools that analyse camera footage to support monitoring and faster responses.
Dubai Police also reviewed nine projects designed to streamline procedures and improve the passenger experience from airport entry through departure. The company said the initiatives aim to reduce processing times while maintaining security standards as passenger traffic grows.
Alongside the technology rollout, around 4,542 airport security employees received specialised training during 2025. The department reported 96% internal employee happiness and a 100% employee motivation rate.
Dubai Police said its airport security department has maintained full compliance with national and international civil aviation security standards for seven consecutive years, based on internal and external audits. It also reported completing all 27 identified improvement opportunities.
Al Marri said continued investment in technology, infrastructure and employee capabilities would support Dubai’s future passenger growth while helping deliver faster and more seamless airport services.
