Tashkeel, the Dubai-based arts and design hub, has launched Tashkeel Workspace & Events, expanding its Nad Al Sheba campus to include flexible workspaces, meeting rooms, and event venues for the city’s growing community of independent professionals.
Quick Facts
- New co-working and event spaces launched.
- Located at its Nad Al Sheba campus in Dubai.
- Aimed at freelancers and hybrid professionals.
From Art Studios to Professional Hubs
Founded in 2008 as a members’ club with eleven artist studios, Tashkeel has long been a foundational space for Dubai’s creative community to experiment and develop their work. Now, the organization is broadening its scope to cater to the evolving nature of work.
The new offering is designed for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and consultants seeking a structured environment outside of a traditional office or home setup. The move signals Tashkeel’s strategy to build a more comprehensive ecosystem where creative production and professional enterprise can exist and interact side-by-side.
Inside the New Workspace
The new facility provides a range of options for independent professionals and teams. It includes flexible desks that can be booked by the hour or day, four meeting rooms that can each hold up to 20 people, and a larger lecture and events space with a capacity for 80 guests.
For focused work, quiet pods are available. Users will also have access to Tashkeel’s digital printing services and can order directly from Gerbou, the on-site restaurant. Tashkeel emphasizes that the space is also open for community gatherings like reading groups and chess clubs, blending professional activity with social connection.
An Ecosystem for Growth
This launch is part of a larger expansion plan. Tashkeel aims to increase its studio count from the current 19 to 58 by 2027, further solidifying its campus as a key destination for both creative and professional talent in Dubai.
Bakhita Ghanim Al Mansoori, General Manager at Tashkeel, commented on the launch: “With the launch of Tashkeel Workspace & Events, we have created a space that reflects how people work today. Designed for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and hybrid professionals, our aim is to offer them flexibility without losing a sense of focus.”
She added, “Workspace has been designed as an environment where professionals can network, collaborate or work independently, and reset, with access to moments of pause through our surrounding spaces and the hospitality of Gerbou. In a fast-moving city, this is a place to ground your work, connect with others, and build something meaningful within a supportive community.”
