The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has launched the fourth edition of FinTech Got Talent, a competition for university students run under FinTech Egypt’s FinYology initiative.
Held in collaboration with the Federation of Egyptian Banks and the Egyptian Banking Institute, the competition seeks innovative projects in financial technology. It moves from university-level qualifiers to the selection of 11 finalists, who receive support through a one-month incubation program at DMZ Cairo.
FinFamily, developed by students at Cairo University’s Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, won first place. Its platform combines financial education with AI-powered training in Arabic and English for children aged 6 to 15.
PayRamids, from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, took second place with a system that combines SME payroll and human resources management with access to short-term financing. Pockety, developed by Nile University students, ranked third with a mobile app and smart bracelet that help children manage savings and spending under parental supervision.
The three teams will represent Egypt at the Arab FinTech Challenge during Jordan FinTech Festival 2026, taking place from September 21 to 24.
Launched in 2023, FinYology now spans 31 Egyptian universities, with 1,060 projects involving nearly 24,000 students. Around 27 banks and financial institutions have supported the initiative.
