Two prominent Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, Tayba Al-Humaidhi and Sheikha Awatif Al-Sabah, were recognized for their work at the first-ever Arab Women’s Week in London. The event, organized by the Arab Business Leaders Council, drew over 1,000 entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors from the UK and the MENA region to discuss the role of Arab women in the global economy.

Al-Humaidhi Awarded for Social Impact in Financial Literacy
Tayba Al-Humaidhi, a behavioral scientist and founder of the Li Walakum platform, received the “Entrepreneurship in Social Impact” award at the British House of Lords. The award acknowledged her contributions to financial literacy and women’s economic empowerment through her platform, which applies behavioral science to improve financial decision-making.
Al-Humaidhi stated the award reflects her efforts “in applying behavioral science and financial knowledge to public benefit through her platform, which provides simplified financial awareness content aimed at improving decision-making and addressing behavioral barriers to economic independence.”
During a panel on the future of entrepreneurship, she stressed the importance of converting financial knowledge into practical tools to help women make more informed financial choices. Al-Humaidhi is currently pursuing her doctoral research in behavioral finance at the London School of Economics.
Al-Sabah Recognized for Leadership and Personal Development
Sheikha Awatif Al-Sabah was also honored for her initiatives in promoting self-awareness and purposeful leadership. She participated in a panel discussion with members of ruling families, diplomats, and investors, where she discussed her experience founding “Bio Sol,” a training and consultancy center focused on personal development.
Her work centers on the importance of mental health, coaching, and capacity-building to strengthen both individuals and communities. Both Al-Humaidhi and Al-Sabah highlighted the need for intellectual and psychological support for individuals, particularly those in crisis-affected areas, to build more resilient societies.
The week-long event concluded with strategic meetings between founders, investors, and policymakers to strengthen cooperation between the UK and the Arab world and support women-led businesses.
